Refrigeration lubricants have different purposes to fulfill. They have to:

  • act as an oil seal for compressed gas between the suction and discharge sides of the compressor 
  • have high thermal conductivity to act as a coolant to remove heat 
  • reduce noise generated by moving parts in the compressor 
  • lubricate internal parts 
  • be chemically stable 
  • have low hygroscopicity 
  • be environmentally acceptable 
  • be soluble with the refrigeration gas 
  • provide good energy efficiency 

ECOSYN synthetic refrigeration lubricants are solving the poor performance that mineral lubricants have with zero ODP (Ozone Depleting Potential) refrigerants. This poor performance of mineral oils is mainly caused by their poor solubility with the refrigeration gas.

ECOSYN synthetic refrigeration lubricants are a combination of high quality base oils with specially engineered additive systems and have a multitude of advantages:

  • extremely good solubility across a wide temperature range in HFC coolants
  • superb low-temperature capabilities
  • resistance to viscosity loss due to refrigerant absorption under pressure for excellent bearing-film thickness and shaft-sealing properties
